    CYBER C-UAS IN THE NEWS

TRENDS: Drones & Security

Inside Unmanned Systems, October 17, 2023

The skies are getting crowded, making it critical to detect careless or malicious drones that are in the mix with systems deployed for security or various other positive applications and thwarting the small percentage of drones sent out to harm helps move the industry forward, getting us closer to a “drone-powered society.” C-UAS systems will continually be updated with the technology needed to identify drone threats as drones evolve and become more resilient. It’s not just the counter drone threat today, but it’s thinking about what will happen next in drone technology.

EnforceAir2, the Anti-Drone System that the Spanish Air and Space Force is Betting On

20minutos, October 16, 2023

The war in Ukraine has updated the arms portfolio with new war devices. The arrival of drones on the battlefield stands out for its heavy use. These miniature, remote-controlled drones have so far had all kinds of civilian use, but war has proven their value as weapons. Just as modern warfare requires the use of drones, it also requires the use of anti-drones. In this vein, the Spanish Air and Space Force has just awarded the contract for EnforceAir2 C-UAS anti-drone system.

Air Force Incorporates a System that Captures Drones Without Shooting Them Down

ECD, October 10, 2023

The Spanish Air Force is expanding its arsenal of systems to deal with the threat of drones and guarantee the security of Armed Forces facilities. The objective is to avoid collateral damage in “high visibility” events. The Air Force has turned to D-Fend Solutions' 'EnforceAir2' anti-drone system, because it "has a unique capability in the market to mitigate risks by taking control of the UAS, landing them safely and thus avoiding collateral damage in scenarios such as high-visibility events."

Dynamic Drone Threat Calls
for Next-Gen Counter-UAS Technology

Military Embedded Systems, October 6, 2023

The success of COTS drones in battle highlights a significant possible physical challenge for which U.S. military and homeland security officials should plan now. Those plans should include one of the most precise ways to take out rogue drones, namely cyber radio frequency (RF) takeover technology. That technology just got a little better.

Anti-Drone System that Fits in Backpack

The Telegraph, September 15, 2023

Compact EnforceAir devices differ from previous technology that has typically relied on jamming. Soldiers are now able to take down hostile targets with anti-drone technology that fits in a backpack. The stealth system identifies a protected airspace then neutralises the threat by assuming control of the hostile drone and landing it safely in a predefined zone.
